Agave franzosinii is a succulent plant species that belongs to the family Asparagaceae and is native to the highlands of central Mexico. Specifically, it is found in the state of Jalisco in the region known as Los Altos, where it grows in rocky, semi-arid areas at elevations between 5,900 and 7,200 feet.

Agave franzosinii is known for its excellent cold hardiness and is able to tolerate temperatures down to around 15°F when mature. However, it is important to note that younger plants and those that have not fully acclimated to cold temperatures may be more susceptible to damage.

Agave franzosinii has gorgeous powdery blue leaves and small teeth along the leaf margins. In terms of mature size, Agave franzosinii is a relatively large species that can reach up to 7 feet in height and 10 feet in width when planted in the ground. Growing them in decorative pots will slow down the growth rate and ultimate size of the plant.
