Also known as: The 'Snow Banana'

Possibly the hardiest Ensete species, coming from the high altitudes of China, Burma, Thailand, & India. Zones 8-10, with some reports of it growing in zone 7. Greenhouse perennial.

Growing to 10'-17'
The huge glaucous leaves are architectural and decorative. The pseudostem and leaves have a grey/green wax, giving it an overall 'bluish' look.

The best part of all....the massive pendulous inflorescence, which brings no justice to the photos shown here. Numerous 5" fruit develop within it.
