Flacourtia Jangomas 10 Seeds, Indian Coffee or Runealma Edible Plum Fruit Tree
The Plant Attraction
Flacourtia jangomas
Also known as: Indian Coffee Plum, Runealma Plum, Indian Cherry
Here is a deciduous native to Southeast Asia that takes on a large shrub form, reaching 5-10 feet in height, or a small tree of 10-20 feet. It does have thorns, but they are typically found on younger plants and branches, disappearing as the tree matures. It produces small, white to off-white flowers which give way to juicy fruits that are round, pink to dark red and approximately 1 inch in width. These fruits are edible raw or cooked and are often used in jams, jellies, and juices. They are packed with many vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. All of the parts of the tree have medicinal uses, yet the bark has the highest potency.
It thrives in full sun or semi-shade and requires regular to moderate water. The tree prefers loamy soil that retains moisture, yet good drainage is essential to prevent waterlogging. A balanced fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 10-10-10 is recommended. Fertilize the tree during the growing season to support its growth and fruit production. Apply the fertilizer every few months or as needed based on soil nutrient levels. Cold hardy, thriving in USDA zones 9-11. It can also be grown in pots in colder regions.
This offer is for 10 seeds.
