Oreocereus trolli. Native to the high deserts of Argentina and Bolivia. The hair protects these plants from the scorching sun and frosts of their native habitat. The old man of the Andes has a very interesting growth habit and is extremely slow growing. These larger plants are limited in availability. Makes a great container plant and can be planted outside in suitable climates. Tolerates cold to the mid twenties at night. Our 10gal plants are 18"-30" tall and most have at least one arm.
