Tamarix ramasissima
Also known as: Salt Cedar, Pink Tamarisk

Here is a long-lived deciduous shrub or small tree native to the Middle East that can grow 15 feet tall or more. It's adorned with glaucous juniper-like foliage and topped from May until frost with stunning open plumes of small light pink to white flowers...a great source of honeybee nectar. Its been used for millenia for making tables, general construction, tool handles, furniture and wood turning projects. Regular pruning can keep this shrub in good shape and can reduce the incidence of canker diseases. This shrub is a prolific seeder and has become invasive in some areas. It prefers full sun with acidic soils but can tolerate dry, salty, alkaline and infertile soils. Zones: 3a to 8b, at least.

This offer is for .5 (Half) a gram of seeds. (100's)
